The interior of a modern home can be a true reflection of the homeowner’s personal style and preferences. One aspect of interior design that is often overlooked is the ceiling. However, with a little creativity and attention to detail, the ceiling can become a stunning focal point that adds depth and character to any room.
Gone are the days when a plain, white ceiling was the norm. Today’s homeowners are embracing the versatility of ceiling designs and incorporating unique and innovative elements into their home’s interior. From intricate patterns to bold colors and textured materials, the ceiling is becoming an increasingly important aspect of modern interior design.
We are touching on 3 items which can change the look and feel of your entire home.
The first is a Solid Ceiling 50mm or 30mm Aluminium plaster trim. This allows for greater depth and width away from the wall creating a shadow and a sleek finish to the wall, the modern alternative to Cornices.
The second way to stay modern is to introduce bulkheads which put emphasis on the area below, it is popular to use a bulkhead over a centre island or in a TV room. An inverted bulkhead, where the ceiling is raised slightly over this area is something slightly different and less common but keeps the modern looks.
Lastly Solid Ceilings offers, light troughs whereby an LED bead is run along, these can be shaped to patterns or used as a single line across the ceiling. This is certainly a modern alternative to down lighters and complements the bulkheads from both an aesthetic look as well as lighting.
